It was a fantastic day at Bridgenorth Football Club on Saturday, with all four Parrots sides recording victories against Old Launcestonians in front of a strong home crowd

Under 18.5s
The Under 18.5s secured their first win of the 2026 season, defeating Old Launcestonians 52 to 28.

The young Parrots led at every change, setting the tone early by restricting Old Launcestonians to just one behind in the opening quarter while kicking 2.2 themselves. The side continued to build throughout the day before pulling away in the final term to secure a well-deserved victory.

Women's
The Women's side returned from their bye in dramatic fashion, defeating Old Launcestonians 28 to 14.

In one of the more unusual games of the season, the Parrots remained goalless for the first three quarters but never let the game get away from them. Trailing heading into the final term, Bridgenorth exploded into action, kicking four goals in the last quarter to storm home and claim an impressive victory.

Reserves
The Reserves continued their strong season with a convincing 59 to 33 win over Old Launcestonians. Bridgenorth dominated from the opening bounce, holding Old Launcestonians scoreless throughout the entire first half while building a commanding lead. The Parrots finished with 8 goals and 11 behinds in another impressive team performance.

Seniors
The Seniors continued their strong form with a dominant 108 to 28 victory over Old Launcestonians.

The Parrots controlled the contest from start to finish, producing another complete four-quarter performance. Senior Coach Zach Griffiths made a successful return to the senior side and capped off his afternoon with a goal, while the forward line once again proved difficult to stop.

With the fixture starting earlier than usual this season, all Bridgenorth teams will enjoy a bye over the long weekend before returning to action on Saturday, 13 June.
