It wasn’t the ending we had hoped for, with our Senior Men going down to Rocherlea 89 to 48 in the 2026 Grand Final.
Rocherlea got the better of the opening term, taking a 13-point lead into quarter time. The Parrots continued to fight in the second, but Rocherlea was able to extend the margin to 16 points by the main break.
The third quarter proved to be the difference. Rocherlea held Bridgenorth to just two points while adding another 25 of their own, giving the Parrots a big task heading into the final term.
To the boys’ credit, they kept fighting.
Bridgenorth produced its best scoring quarter of the game in the last, adding 22 points, but Rocherlea had done enough to secure the premiership.

While Grand Final losses hurt, this season deserves to be recognised for what it was.
The Seniors finished the home-and-away season on top of the ladder, then delivered a huge Semi Final performance to record their first finals win since 2019 and earn their way into the Grand Final for the first time in seven years.
From where this group started the year to playing on the biggest day of the season, there is plenty to be proud of.
Congratulations to every player and coach who contributed throughout 2026, and a huge thank you to the volunteers, families and supporters who followed the boys every step of the way.
It wasn’t our day on Saturday, but what a season from our Senior Men.
We’ll be back.
